We coordinate the sterilization of street cats and dogs all over Essaouira.

Caring for street animals is against the law in Morocco which means a very uncertain future for so many unhoused cats and dogs.

Coordinated, continuous mass sterilization can dramatically reduce the number of at-risk animals but this is only possible through direct payments to veterinarians.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

CATS in Essaouira are strategically poisoned in the early hours of the morning to avoid witnesses. Abandoned kittens are a common target.

DOGS in Essaouira are routinely captured from the beach and other neighborhoods, never to be seen again. Sterilized and vaccinated dogs are not spared.

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

There is currently a nationwide campaign to ‘cleanse’ the streets of dogs before the 2030 Football World Cup, which means the unnecessary suffering and death of millions of animals.
